This piece depicts an etherial winged figure caught in ascension, depicting the struggle we all have when dealing with the change. Perhaps there is a calling we should pursue but something, maybe even ourselves is holding us back? Maybe the change is unwelcome and unavoidable, albeit necessary? They say the only constant is change. I wanted this image to express the tendency we have to deny that fact, and the freedom and growth that comes with making it through to victory on the other side. We never forget what we went through, but instead learn from it and apply the lessons learned from those experiences to future endeavors.

Medium is urethane and enamel on aluminum.
