My artistic journey started when I was young and in elementary school.  It was an old stack of comics that fueled my obsession to  learn how to draw, specifically the human figure. Possessing the ability to create characters and worlds was a means of escape to those imaginary places in which I preferred to spend my time.  Over the years my skill was put to use drawing portraits or painting re-creations of album art on denim jackets for friends and family.  After discovering the airbrush, I moved to attend art school and hone my craft painting at amusement parks, malls, and on location at parties around the Pittsburgh area.  It was at one of these malls where I was introduced to the custom automotive paint field when someone brought me a gas tank to paint.  I had never painted one before but I would soon find out how much work a proper custom paint job takes.

   It was this discipline on which I focused my efforts while working full time in other areas of applied graphics such as screen print and embroidery.  Moving around in custom paint circles afforded me many opportunities to learn about the process of automotive paint as well as other artistic techniques such as pinstriping, lettering, and gold leaf.  That time also saw investments in equipment and software to help better serve my custom paint clients.  

   Now I want to take more time to work on variety of subject matters,  on traditional surfaces, with somewhat more traditional mediums. I want to get back to that original feeling of purity in the work that isn't being done for any other reason than the enjoyment and ride of it.
